Webley & Scott 12 Bore Boxlock Ejector - Patent "Screw Grip" - Between the wars 1937

Webley & Scott Ltd. 12 bore, manufactured in 1937. This pre-1947 action (produced before the introduction of the Model 700) features the 1884 Webley & Brain patent "Screw Grip" third bite fastener. 1 1/8oz NITRO Proof. This example is tight on face, with smooth and precise mechanical operation. It features an automatic safety with an engraved "SAFE" indicator, crisp acanthus border scroll engraving, traces of original color hardening, bores clean and bright. A well-preserved example, mechanically excellent.
